You-Build-It Challenge

Ms. Smith is challenging our students to build a Valentine’s Day mailbox for the library shelf-elf, Skoob. These mailboxes can be built out of whatever students would like, and are welcome to work with friends. Mailboxes should be 12 inches long
and 10 inches high, including a door that opens and closes and have a flag that goes up and down to signal when a letter is inside. Students should have adult supervision when using materials such as scissors or hot glue. Participation is not required, and there is no grade or prize… this is for fun and an opportunity for students to be creative and inventive! When complete, students should be sure to include a Valentine’s card to Skoob telling him what they love about books! Mailboxes will be accepted through February and will go on display in the Media Center. Let’s get building!
