Tell us a little about yourself:
I have been teaching for 16 years. I grew up in Central Florida and graduated from Lake Brantley High School. After high school, I moved to Connecticut and I attended Central Connecticut State University and Wesleyan, earning my degrees in art education and fine art. I have a new baby son, Graham,
who is five months old and the light of my life.
Why did you become a teacher?
I became a teacher after taking a summer art education class in college and absolutely loved working with the elementary aged students. It was so much fun to get to create art with them. I loved their energy!
What do you love most about teaching?
My favorite part about teaching art is getting to know students and have them for more than just one year. I love that we become like family and getting to watch students grow and develop their artistic skills.
