Engineering in the Classroom!

Annunciation Catholic Academy is integrating a new STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, & Math) curriculum, bringing engineering into the classrooms. As an academic subject, engineering has traditionally been reserved for college students but our students, Kindergarten –8th Grade, will be tackling engineering challenges as part of their classroom activities across all subject areas. We have adopted Engineering is Elementary, an award-winning curriculum developed by the Museum of Science in Boston. By introducing children as early as possible to the engineering process, research shows that children are better equipped to use science and math to solve real-world problems. This program will bring science alive, make it relevant, and spark our future innovators. We are looking for engineers of all types to share their expertise with our students, if you are willing to volunteer your time and talent, please contact Christine Summers summersc@annunciationacademy.org
