Clubs and activities allow students to discover and pursue passions beyond the classroom and develop leadership skills.
A detailed traffic map can be found in the Parent and Student Handbook. Parents are asked to stay in their vehicles and not park and walk through the moving traffic, or approach the students and teachers during dismissal. Each family will receive a dismissal card with their family name printed on it. Please display this card on the dashboard vehicle or show it when picking up at the gym. This helps the dismissal process move much faster. Please pull ALL the way forward before stopping to pick up your student. A faculty member will be there to help your child into the car safely.
Download the PikMyKid app (available for iOS, Android, and Windows phones) and create an account if you will be using the carpool dismissal line.
Before school care is available beginning at 7:00 AM each day. Students may not wait unattended outside the school. After school care is available until 6:00 PM daily. Snacks and drinks are included. One of the best ways to meet families and make new friends is to volunteer by using your God given talents to serve the school and make it a better place for all. Annunciation is blessed to have a very active Home & School Association. Every Annunciation family is asked to volunteer 35 hours a year. There are many ways for a parent to get involved including helping in the church, our cafeteria, chaperoning field trips, coaching a sports or academic team, being a homeroom parent, helping in the classroom, being a home and school board member and/or helping with fundraising.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What would happen if I am late to pick up my child?
Students are never left unattended! Students will be escorted to extended care and can be picked up from the cafeteria. - Who do I notify if my child is going to be out of school?
Call or email the school office before 9 am if possible. If the office is not notified, the Receptionist will call to check on the absent child. - What is the rainy day dismissal policy?
If there is lightning in the area, students are held inside for safety reasons. Parents must wait for the weather to pass and it is safe enough to resume with dismissal. - What if my child has to take medication?
A parent must bring the medication in with the Diocesan Medication form completed, which is available on the school website. The form must be filled out completely. Medication must be in the original container with the child’s name on it. - What if it is my child’s birthday?
Birthdays are so special! Students are allowed a NUTS day on their birthday. (If a child’s birthday falls in the summer, they are allowed a NUTS day on their “half birthday.” For example, if their birthday falls on June 12, they would celebrate their NUTS day on Dec. 12. A parent can send a treat to be shared at recess or lunch, but treats should be individual items such as cupcakes or cookies and not things that must be cut in order to be served. See the handbook for more information.
