Light of Faith Awards

The
annual Light of Faith awards recognizes members of the Diocese
of Orlando who bring the light of Christ to the world through
communication publications and efforts. All Diocesan
parishes, schools and organizations can enter their
communication materials for consideration. This year,
several students from ACA were recognized with an award at the
prayer service on Tuesday, April 25th. Five 8th grade students
received an award for a public service announcement they created
to raise awareness of the discrimination people face because of
physical disabilities. Their PSA reminded the audience to
treat others with love and kindness the way Jesus calls us to
live. A sixth grade student also received
recognition for her 3rd place winning poster from the Diocesan
vocations awareness day, FOCUS 11. Congratulations to our
award-winning students!
ACA Celebrates Dr. Curran

On Friday, April 12th, Dr. Curran
was treated to an all-school performance in her honor. Every
grade level prepared something special including original poems,
bilingual lyrics and impressive instrumental accompaniments. The
celebration opened with a video presentation. It was delightful
to see all our students shine!

Dr.
Curran Named
Administrator of the Year

Congratulations to Dr.
Margaret E. Curran, who was named Administrator of the Year for
the Diocese of Orlando at the Distinguished Catholic Schools
Educator Awards. Recipients of this award are recognized for
their demonstration of outstanding leadership and excellence in
teaching. Additionally, they proclaim the Good News and
translate faith into action, model best practices of teaching
strategies and build effective learning partnerships.

has been named principal following Dr. Curran's retirement at
the end of this school year.
